Within the Heart of Time and Space: An Exhibit in the San Diego Airport

SAN DIEGO – March 14, 2011 – The San Diego International Airport Art Program presents
Within the Heart of Time and Space, a temporary installation comprised of 15 individual
sculptures by San Diego–based artist Jeffrey Steorts. The installation will remain on display
through September 15, 2011, in Terminal 2 East/West Corridor, post-security.
Steorts is a self-taught artist who uses found objects and poetry in his work to convey a
synthesis of past and present along with his personal interests. Each sculpture is an assembly of
found objects, gold-, copper- or silver-leafed wood and is combined with steel and brass
fasteners and other hardware.
